I just don't get the Royal Family, I know that it has something to do your history, they always look like they have sucked on a lemom before they apear before the pubic, other than Princess Dianna. They seem to be an outdated fairytale. Please I mean no disrespect, I just don't get it.

The bmonarchy is largely funded by the British taxpayers, although I do believe they also make money from heir sizable estates and other sources.

However, I am pro-monarchist. Although I do understand why some people want rid of the Monarchy (and I at least agree the number of royals being supported shoulkd be trimmed down) , I do feel that they still serve a purpose in Britain.

Firstly, the Queen and other royals act as representatives for Britain (she is technically still the head of state) and travel the world, as well as receiving foreign dinitaries. And according to what everyone says who's met her, she does a very good job indeed in this role.

Secondly they are part of our culture and heritage and tradition. And a country needs more than just the bare bones of homes and businees and industry. It needs something unique about it and something that stretches back through time, and the Monarchy is it.

Thirdly, they are a huge tourist attraction, attracting tens of thousands to London and thus boosting the economy by a hefty bit.

And finally, possibly the most important but littlest known about reason....

The Queen is the best safeguard we have against a tyrannical Prime Minister. If at some point we elected someone who turned out to be a little power hungry shall we say and who started passing laws that were unjust, immoral and illegal, the Queen is the only one that can legally make the Prime Minister resign, thus acting as a safeguard against Britain ever falling victim to a PM who was a wannabe dictator. Thus the Monarchy ironically becomes the protector of British democracy should a worst case scenario happen. Division of power in a country is a good thing. To get rid of the Queen would be to grant much more power to others that may in the future abuse it.

no human being is conscious quite or not she change into killed by the British institution. Or the "agency" (The British Monarchy) with a view to talk. yet what i am going to assert is this, besides the actual incontrovertible truth that Diana change right into a superb human being. i imagine that folk might want to attempt to bypass ahead previous her and concentration extra on her little ones which will in the destiny be the suitable of the British Royal relatives. She is lifeless and there is not something that any you may do about So we'd want to consistently end questioning what "if" and all of that crap. And bypass in the route of the destiny. quite human beings understand it or not, she change into no angel. The Royal relatives had a dislike for Diana, Princess of Wales because of ways she dealt with the breakdown of her marriage. You in no way bypass public with something like that. fairly once you're a royal. it truly is not the way that issues must be performed. besides the actual incontrovertible truth that i imagine that Elizabeth (Her Husband's mom) blamed Charles for a lot of this. Had he given up Camilla, Diana might want to nevertheless be alive and may want to in the destiny be Queen. He merely had to have that ugly bulldog by his aspect. he's responsible for the photo the royal relatives has today!

LOL they do indeed, except Dianna, William, and Harry. That's why the "other" Charles' Rottweiler fits in so well.

Our tax dollars. And you're right about the royal family...when are they going to wake up and join the rest of the working class like the rest of us. They don't anything, they no longer have any role in government so what the heck are they doing living in castles and feasting on our taxes?

The Royal Family are like a whole bunch of dole scroungers - dependent on the state, & probably costing just as much, too.
