I think there is way too much hate! Hate comes from satan! Love comes from Jesus Christ our Savior! Jesus is the only way too heaven! Jesus loves and saves! He also forgives! Praying for the lost! Jesus loves you all!

In Islam, only Gods' MERCY can save us and God will shower his mercy on those who have faith and good works.

Up until the last minute we enter in Paradise there is no guarantee without the Mercy from GOD.

As a skeptic I want to ask this question. If in Eden, which was/is supposed to be paradise no less, and with God right there available as a guide, if given those conditions man could not follow God, what sense does it make that any majority of mankind would follow him now?

Joseph Smith and Bringham Young each had multiple wives, and they believed God called them to celebrate "plural marriages."

Yet today men are not allowed to marry more than one church. In fact, the small number of Mormons today who are polygamous are scorned by the church.

Was Joseph Smith wrong when he said that God called us to marrying more than one? Was it right then, but wrong now? Or was Smith wrong from the beginning?

(I mean no disrespect. In fact, I've never met a Mormon who was not gentle, kind, and commited to doing God's will.

I'm assuming that the Christians in question would have to approach science with an open mind to be convinced.

I mean, that's what persuaded me to believe the Bible was a bunch of bologna!

Merry Meet, Brothers and Sisters.

At the entrance to the U.S. Capitol building is Mars, the God of War and Fire.

Themis/Justitia, the Greek/Roman Goddess of Justice resides in Court Houses. In addition to this, the Spirit of Justice, also known as Minnie Lou, is in the Great Hall of Justice department buildings.

Many other examples, including the fact the Constitution has a few Pagan elements reside in this site:

Heres a realy good Question but first let me comment: I was looking up info on the Apocrypha which I am currently reading as a prodestant because I also include the Catholic church as part of the body of Christ. Unfortunately I saw a lot of bickering and arguing on the subject and found it sad. Our body of Christ isn't supposed to be divided to the point of hatred towards different denominations. A kingdom divided cannot stand. I sometimes wonder where we went wrong? Christians are supposed to be open minded and guided by the Holy Spirit. So many churches are trying to be the first church. What ever happened to the last church? Thats the one I want! The real reason why the church is supposed to split is so we can minister to different walks of life not because of arguments and different beliefs. There is only one religion so my question is this and feel free to express yourself... Do you think based on the current division of our body this is realy the church God wanted?

you, if you push him in return (it is in the bible!!! "the eye thing"), if you gently tell him to push you from the other side (it is in the bible!!! the cheek thing)...
The bible is the best spiritual guide in the world no matter what you do it will be ok, and if you dont understand anything you interpret it as you wish (for sure it is the holy ghost enlightening you) and when someone else (someone who is not you) interprets the bible in "not really convenient way for you" it is the devil in action...
And besides there is a heaven waiting for you and a hell waiting for everybody else...isnt it the best???

[[Keep in mind, I'm an atheist, but am assuming the role of the Christian in this question, in order for it to be written in a way that people will easily understand.]]

I'm not sure about the rest of you, but in my experience, every young child experiences the fear of a "monster" under the bed, or in the closet.

A child has no proof that it exists.
The child is afraid of it.
The child in question believes, truly and fully, that the "monster" is there.

Now consider this...
We have no proof that God exists.
We fear God.
We believe, truly and fully, that God is there.

Hrm...interesting.

When our children fear the monster under the bed, we help them to understand that it does not exist, and we comfort them.

But when our child fears God, we encourage it.

Many people have told me "if there is no Creator then there isn't any purpose to life!!"
And so they believe there must be a God.
However....let's assume their is a God. But what Created God? If nothing created god, then by this logic...GOD HAS NO PURPOSE.

So somewhere along the line of creation, the original creator HAS NO PURPOSE.
And Christianity assumes God is perfect, meaning HAVING NO PURPOSE IS PERFECT.
So...what's wrong with having no purpose if your image of perfection has no purpose?
In the end...having a god defeats the purpose lol. You are either saying we have no purpose, or we have a purpose but that's a bad (imperfect) thing to have.

So...why don't we just leave god out of it and make OUR OWN purpose in life?

Psalms 82:6
I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

John !0: 34-35
34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;

Eph 4:12-13
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

Rev 3:21 (Jesus speaking)
To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

Rev 21:7 (Jesus speaking)
7 He that overcometh shall inherit call things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
