Absolutely!! They are fed the lies and they prefer to believe it, then spread it around, while calling themselves 'christian' and 'saved'.

We should pity people like CJ a great deal.

Many people, including some Catholics, are ignorant about history. Just look at the swarms of people who thought that the Da Vinci Code was an historical account. People inerrantly think that the church sprang forth from the Bible, when it was the other way around. The early Christians had a full life in the Lord without the New Testament. One has to ask how that is really possible.

I think you give them way too much credit. Condemnatory, hateful rhetoric only works when one is preaching to the choir -- and even then, it's possible to cross the line into hatemongering and have the condemnation turned upon the condemner.

Most thinking people, even if they aren't entirely clear on doctrine, know fanaticism when they see it -- and most steer clear. Those few who do allow it to sway them were leaning in that direction to begin with, and just needed someone with a louder voice to bolster their notions.

On the whole, though, most ignore them. Except those of us who continue to pray for them.

How does CJ know who is saved and who isn't? That seems a little presumptuous.

History says that catholics have a false gospel of works, and aren't saved. History also says that catholics burned at the stake and killed anyone found handing out a Bible. History also says the genocidal Vatican has murdered more people than any institution earth has ever seen.

Finally, the Bible says that the catholics aren't saved, and have a false gospel and an unending list of false doctrines. Catholics are not saved Christians.
