I can prove that there is no elephant in my living room. An EPT test has proven that my wife is not pregnant. Are these not negatives which are proven scientifically? Who believes that you can't prove a negative? Why can't a negative be proven by dispoving the inverse? Isn't this the scientific method by definition?

Let me ask a questions to all of you who feel Jesus and God are great. If Jesus and God were so great, why doesn't he help those who are truly needy? Why is there war, poverty, murder.

You all must have a great lives, because you think Jesus and God are "rockin." He must do a lot to ensure your health and happiness. Consider yourself lucky, because Jesus and God don't care about all of us.

i realize the term 'fundie' is generally associated with christians, however there are people that act like that regardless of their religion. i'm just wondering if these people are so entrenched in fear, that they'd rather come off as proselytizing, institution escapees, than risk what *might* happen. to err is human, right? you never know, you might come back and do it all over if you didn't get it right this time.

Is there some scientific proof that God does not exist? How can Atheists' be so certain there is no God by scientific analysis? Please give the research or where it is published in a scientific journal that there is no God. Or perhaps give your logical evaluation that the universe was not the result of Creation.

I went to several different stores in my area and the abayas/jilbabs didnt fit me as I am plus sized. I'm leaving for the Middle East soon and I do not want to stick out or look like a tourist as I know its dangerous.

I don't have the answer, but can't we do better that religion, I just feel we could move on as humans, we are smart and it seams like we are just unwilling to change and move foward, look at all the stuff we have and we still believe religion did it all, are still dumb!

The bible says that The Earth was created first, and then right after that, water, sky's , animals, fishy's , ect, THEN adam and eve, right after those....So what about the Dinosaurs? the big book doesn't say anything about those.......Scientist say and "scientifically" prove that Dinosaurs were here before man...or w/e the hell they say we came from.....So where does Adam & eve fit in the whole ledgend of the history of the earth?...or do they?

there are many contradictions, outdated and just down right wrong statements in the Bible, ex.~ women are treated as property- Thou shalt not covet your neighbors wife...thou shalt not kill, but it's ok to stone certain people, kill your disobeying children, etc...

& can anyone give examples of these?

why do Protestants object when a Catholic says that Mary is the Mother of God?

When Catholics say this we DON'T mean that Mary is a god and Mother of the Divine Holy Trinity.

We mean that she was chosen by God to be the HUMAN Mother of God the Son. This was part of how God humbled Himself, becoming like us IN ALL WAYS except for sin.

To become like us in all ways except for sin, God chose a very special human woman to become His Mother, a woman who God made "full of grace" at her conception.

Here is how Catholic teaching sees the relationship of Mary to God:

-Favored daughter of the Father
-Mother of the Son
-Spouse to the Holy Spirit

A woman in our town was lectured for 15 minutes when she thoughtlessly wished a customer at her gas station a "Happy Holidays". By the end of it, she was near tears.
The woman wanted to respect all ppl who observe all holidays be it religious or not.
