I personally consider them two seperate deities. But as someone already said, many Wiccans and Witches think of them in different ways. It really is up to you, but I would recommend reading some more books, as they will also have different takes on it.

You will get probably get a bit different take with each answer. Different traditions and individuals will worship different deities.

I think more will think two (or more) separate beings, totally different from the Christian god. Some even follow the Greek or Egyptian pantheons. Wiccans that come from a Christian background, or the "Christian Wiccans" will say one with different aspects. I feel that most non-Pagans that do accept Wicca believe it is just worshiping the Christian god under different names.

Personally I don't even believe in a Deity, but different spirits or entities that can fill a Deity role on a much smaller or individual level.

The God and Goddess are not seperate.

They believe in an ultimate and unknowable Deity.

the God and Goddess are just labels to honor male and femine aspects of Deity.

attempt this view: masculine and woman do no longer exist in effortless words in men and females. men have female features too and vice-versa. So, to apply your social gathering: aggression is "dubbed" masculine because in our species many times, it truly is the male it extremely is the most aggressive, with the most testosterone and so on. in spite of the undeniable fact that, women will be aggressive to yet to a lesser scale. many times, features, features and notions are dubbed masculine or female in accordance to which of the genders expresses it the most. It doesn't propose they don't exist contained in the different gender besides. finally, if this style of clasification of nature doesn't more beneficial healthy you, you may continuously style your own or search for for different ones. EDIT: No, they don't look meant to be that. they're meant to guard and govern particular attributes and features each and every, it is why they have roles (e.g. conflict god/dess, love god/dess). it truly is actual all about conception. human beings around the international and through the a at the same time as perceived the divine as male and woman (or a minimum of it is the way it manifested to us human beings so as that it will recognize it). doesn't propose that Gods are male and woman or that they are in effortless words with masculine or in effortless words with female features. not in any respect. some see Gods as archetypes, others see them with diverse roles (e.g. the Sumerians had Nanna a God as a Moon deity at the same time as Inanna, a Goddess as a image voltaic deity) and others see them of their personal unique way. Gods contained in the finished are not meant to be some thing except what you develop into responsive to and understand them to be. Sorry if it is perplexing! EDIT 2: convinced, i imagine you're precise. :)

It would really help to know what book you're reading.
Wiccans are generally polytheists (or duotheists).
