Why do so many people point at hypocrites to discredit Christianity?

Is it not clear that hypocrites are not Christians?

It is mostly the Atheists who do this to feed their spite and anger, and by labeling all christians as hypocrites it makes them fel justified.

many christians are hypocrites such as the pastor in colorado who preached against homsexuality while having sex with male prostitute
