I've noticed that in the Book of Isaiah there are references to the Messiah scattered through out. Like chapters 4,6, 7, 9,11,40,41,42,49,50,53, and 56, so is it safe to assume that chapter 52 is not related to 53, thus making 53 a prophcy of how the Messiah will bring salvation to the world, using His blood for payment of the worlds sins, since there are prophcies and promises and warnings in between these stated chapters? And how do the leaders of your faith decide what is and isn't prophecies of the Messiah?

NEW YORK—Pro-life advocates celebrated approval of the new anti-abortion drug UR-86 by the Food and Drug Administration Tuesday, calling it a "safe and effective method" for terminating pregnant women while leaving their unborn children unharmed.
A doctor explains to an expectant mother how her organs will slowly dissolve with the new pill.
Pfizer, manufacturer of UR-86—dubbed the "last-morning-ever pill"—said the drug is intended only for occasions when the mind-set or politics of the mother threaten the life of the fetus.
"This drug is designed for extreme cases in which the mother cannot or should not be saved, or when her health has been placed before that of her unborn child," Pfizer spokesman Anthony Wright said.
The orally ingested drug first tests for the presence of a fetus. If the outcome is positive, a near-lethal dose of barbiturates is released, which induces a coma in the expectant mother until the child is born, at which point a second, fatal dose is released.

What is the goal of life?

Now keep in mind, that if you try to explain surrender to Jesus, that remains to be qualified because The Great ancient Holy Books EXPLAIN that THE fall of man, and its trajedy comes from him BEING COVERSED BY HIS SEX PARTNER TO EAT THE FRUIT OF THE TREE OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL TO WHICH THE LORD HATH COMMANDED HIM NOT TO EAT OF which implies that to create any sorts of artificial divisions in this world is actually the work of satan. Such divisions are the divisions of religon, race, caste, creed, good and evil and is expressed in such statements like Christianity is good, but Islam is Evil. WE MUST NOT JUST GIVE LIP-SERVICE TO THE GREAT ANCIENT TEACHINGS OF THE HOLY WANDERER JESUS, BUT FOLLOW WHEN HE COMMANDS "BE PERFECT THEREFORE, AS YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER IS PERFECT." This is somewhat unpresidented, and will take any-one to describe the complete field of activities. I'm looking for a tottaly honest person, there, I've set up the monster slay

As I drive around my town and on the back roads on my way to work I pass by a fair number of churches. Lately I have seen a lot of billboards trying to either entice people to come or just plain saying 'come and join us'. Even as little as a few years back you never saw this at all. Is membership dropping so much that churches now have to result to advertising to get people through the doors?

the way i look at it is, homosexuality is a sin, yet so is every other sin but you dont see people with signs saying GOD HATES LIARS YOU ARE GOING TO HELL!!! or not welcoming them in church. that is the one thing i cant stand, if Christians are so loving how can they not allow "a sinner" in church yet every single one of them is a sinner?? The Bible says one sin is not greater than another...also 'those who are sin free can cast the first stone'..i mean seriously i think a lot of christians have lost their mind they are so hypocritical! I've heard people say it's because they are threatening the foundation of american families, umm how about those people who cheat on their spouse or lie to their spouse? all that is threatening to the family. I am a Christian by the way I'm just questioning those who feel so strongly towards homosexuality...its a sin just like any other sin...love thy neighbor as thy self...god loves everyone why cant you, i could go on and on.

I am really sad, shocked and extremely sorrowful to see many people insult Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Saviour of the World. His Mission is announced by Judaism and confirmed by Islam, and His accomplishment is incomparable throughout history.
Yes, you are free not to believe, or even to express discontentment against some of His followers, but to insult Him is really beyond all rules of human morality. If He is not the Man for you to respect, then who else on earth is meaningful to your mind?
You may think that you don't care about anything, even about your soul which you may not beleive it exists, but you must have at least some rules for your living decently and for guiding your own children before they will be sent to school - or you also think that you don't need to send them to school?
Please rethink, if you don't care about anything, at least you should care about your own life, your own dignity, your own children. Please!

I'm a very strong Christian i've been dreaming about so many weird things, one of them is my former us government teacher and in one of them I had an accident, she knew I was a christian and when I was in the bed not waking up at all she started praying for me, she cried and said that she was a sinful woman and so she became christian. Then in anohter one, her sister (which name was stacy) was a christian and i had a best friend in college (Marianne) who had an alcoholic problem and i didn't but i wasn't a christian, so i had a problem. Stacy was trying to get us into church, but we didn't like the idea. Anyways, i had also have dreams about the endo of the world and some stuff i've read in the Bible. i also dream about people who aren't real, i.e. Stacy, Marianne and people like that. I don't know any Stacies or Mariannes in my life. What does all this mean? Can somebody help?

How did you display your anger? How did you resolve it?

I was angry once, many years ago, truly I don't remember to much more about it, or why, perhaps all that resentment I had bottled up back then.

There are probably about 5-10 people in America that know enough about whats really going to give a just opinion on the job of Presidency in America.
I believe that successful individuals have earned their right to be there.
My experience has taught me that you can not succeed in life being a deceitful, money-grubbing, clannish, mama's boy,YET the media would have YOU believe that this, frat-boy/oil man/daddy's-boy,is doing just that.
Bush may be willingly sacrificing his name to the Cattle of America so they can graze on the fat of the land and send his reputation to the slaughter house. That is what leaders do. Sacrifice themselves for the betterment of others.
If we were to find the truth out, I doubt if it would be gyrating around pessicism. In fact, it would probably be acknowledging the good things like the future America and world, our children, etc.
It's a good thing for us that Bush loves cattle!
So my question is,"How long till the herding-instinct is bred out of America

Topic is Koan Practice:
Here is a well known koan: Two hands clap and there is a sound. What is the sound of one hand?

"...in the beginning a monk first thinks a koan is an inert object upon which to focus attention; after a long period of consecutive repetition, one realizes that the koan is also a dynamic activity, the very activity of seeking an answer to the koan. The koan is both the object being sought and the relentless seeking itself. In a koan, the self sees the self not directly but under the guise of the koan...When one realizes ("makes real") this identity, then two hands have become one. The practitioner becomes the koan that he or she is trying to understand. That is the sound of one hand." — G. Victor Sogen Hori, Translating the Zen Phrase Book[10]

old men "interpreted" the bible? Maybe then they would've been to busy to make up fairy tales and we wouldn't have to deal with people repeating the rubbish as fact today. Drat. Where were the scientists? Surely not ALL of them were executed for heretics when Christianity was in it's cult stage. I know the Christians burned down the Great Library of Alexandria but didn't somebody think to save a copy to disc? Geez.

i still believe in HIM, however, with all that i have read and studied, coupled by my rational and logical reasoning, i have found it difficult to have faith in GOD again.
in essence i don't want GOD for the sake of religion's sake, but rather that feeling in your heart that you have when it's filled with faith.

"I agree that there should be peace. But, people are people and peace can not be found in one who does not believe in Jesus."

Read this quote on this sight about an hour ago. Do people agree with this and why? Personally I think its disgusting that there are people in the world who think like this.

Seeing the bible said that people's hearts would fail them for fear.

The ads could promote heart medicine and tell us that this prophecy does not have to be for us.

Or would it be irritating having all these ads fall out of it like magazine inserts?
