I am a Christian, and like Mother Teresa said, "I love all religions but I am in love with my own." That is exactly how I feel, I admire many religions and learn a great deal from them. I have recently begun studying Zoroastrianism, an ancient religion that predates even Judaism. The three wise men that visited Jesus were Zoroastrianists. Zoroastrianism has greatly influenced Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. My question is in regards to Messiahs, Christians believe Jesus to be the Messiah. In the book of Isaiah however, which is also part of the Christian Bible, Isaiah calls King Cyrus, who was a Zoroastrianist, a messiah, annointed from God, and if I am not mistaken Jews believe him to be A not THE but A messiah. Does this mean that there is more than one Messiah even in Christianity? If not, then why is it in our Holy Book? Please no answers speaking ill of mine or any other religion, I am looking for insight, thank you.
