I think that ghost refer to the past tense of the living But spirit can be for the things living now please help I am confused? what is the differents between the two?

There is no difference in Christianity.
The Old Testament was originally written mostly in Hebrew.
The New Testament was originally written in Greek.
The Third Person of the Holy Trinity, now commonly called in English "the Holy Spirit," is in Hebrew: רוח הקודש or Ruah haqodesh
And is in Greek: το Άγιο Πνεύμα
These Hebrew and Greek words have been translated into English as both the "Holy Ghost" and "Holy Spirit."
It was originally translated as "Holy Ghost" but later translations use a more spiritual "Holy Spirit."

Holy Ghost is Old English for Holy Spirit. To answer the question is that they are one and the same.

There is no difference. Some versions of the Bible interpret the original writings differently: some use the word spirit, others use ghost.

Hair splitting about the translation of one word. Spirit and ghost mean the same thing basicly.

Not being a christian anymore, i can tell u that's just english. in other languages it's the exactly same thing and word ( i know 5, so thats for sure true), but i'm sure you'll get pretty elaborated answers justifying this and that, and trying to explain the complexity of absolutely nothing.

It should just be called the Holy Spirit, the other makes it sound like its some kind of spook!

Why do you assume there is a difference?? They are one and the same. Spirit and ghost are the same thing. It is probably your bible translation.
