blacks and latino?? why do blacks think latins are going to help them when they take over america.black people will end up like black people in latin america at the bottom.

I find it interesting that if you look back in history and literature, "taboo relationships" have gotten further and further apart.

In very old books of the Bible, half brothers and sisters married. In the slightly newer Bible books (by a few centuries), marriage between siblings wasn't moral.

Then you look at literature. In books like Cyrano de Bergerac and Pride and Prejudice you have cousins engaged or in love and this seems to be perfectly normal.

Nowadays it seems like even cousins are too closely related to be married by today's standards.

What do you all think? How far back is it culturally proper for a couple to get married? Everybody's related eventually. Could they be first cousins? Second cousins? Third cousins? 20th cousins?

For myself, I wouldn't think first cousins should be getting married, but I don't know about after that.

(In case you're wondering or judging, this question is nothing more than curiosity. I know no one marrying anybody they're related to.)

And it's not just on clocks either. I went to the mall yesterday, and i was waiting in line at a store, and the person in front of me was paying, and i heard the cashier go "your change is $4.11." it seems like everywhere i go, i see 11 on something. Is this just a huge coincidence, or does it mean anything? what about the 9:11?

A machine shop in Deep River, Connecticut is being sued by five workers over a company dictate that while on their job that employess only converse in English.

The company posted a Common Language Policy which requires employees to speak English during work hours, except during an employees scheduled breaks and lunch. The company asserts that the only reason for the policy is safety, efficiency and product quality.

Please share your thoughts on this.

Where I work, I see a fair number of families with mentally handicapped children. These children, because of their condition will never lead a "normal" life or be able to contribute anything to society. They're basically hardships that the families must endure and provide for. I believe that in some Asian cultures, when a mentally handicapped child is born or is detected, the baby will be aborted/killed rather than put the family through the above said problems. Is there something to be said for that? Despite what you think, some of these children will never be able to function as a regular member of society, they just can't. They can't work or provide for themselves. All their lives they must be taken care of. Why not try and have another baby?...One that will be able to grow up and lead a normal life.

Why does everyone care about petty selfish desires like souping up their cars, getting a new car, clothes, for girls its makeup, clubbing, partying, having fun, not caring, drugs/alcohol/smoking, even working out to look a certain way, plastic surgery/dieting, all of those petty little things, buying things/materialism.

The entertainment industry is producing music that is bs, and movies that are bs.

No one sees what's really going on around our world politically, globally, business wise, everything wise, people just live ignorant of it all and act like everything is A-okay, and get SOOOOOOO freaked out when things start happening and question, "omg why why why, how can this happen," and go into having a grand mal seizure.

Are people just stupid?

It's one thing to live up your life, you only have one, but it's another to not be aware of the reality you really live in.

im always self conscienous wether to wear heels or not... is that bad. i feel if i wear heels peopple will look at me funny even though im not super tall, i feel tall considering my sister is only 5'1" and the same age as me(blended family)
