when the power is out, no phone service, little food and water, do we form sides and decides who dies first?

isn't it ironic? maybe that sounds a bit alanis morissetteish, but nonetheless, its true. we are animals, no matter how smart we are. and what do animals do when survival instinct kicks in? they survive. at all costs.

I believe our society is less civil that it has been in years. But also think what your describing will happen in the larger cities much faster and more often than in a rural settings.......lol

I suppose the weak, seriously ill, elderly, and generally anyone who can't survive on there own will die first regardless of sides.

I personally don't want a side. I would rather fend for myself.

Personally, I question the "civil society" statement. Is it really?
In my experience, people tend to be ruthless gits.

I think the best and worst come out in people in crisis situations. No middle ground.
