Why does society let those jerks chase celebraties around and get so obnoxious?

Don, it runs deeper then that. Their just peons for one, doing something that can make them money. So we can't blame them, if we know its a social problem Now we just need to figure out WHY its such a social problem. Its pride. Pure, simply, unadulterated pride. See, people seeing eye-2-eye on the same issues, gives them a way to belong. Like lets say I hate your guts because you took some girl in the office I wanted, of course I'm not going to say anything, but WOW look at Britnay Spears snatch! Now we have something to relate on! Like weather we like her skany self, or if we think she is a goddess. That aside, lets say your a religous, and I'm a hard-2-the-core atheist. Well we can take a breck from our religious debate to bash George bush, or declare to each other, that we can agree, that Paris Hilton is an amoral slut. So this stuff gives us something to relate on, which makes news people money, which fuels the fire. So its about giving us something light and happy to distrate us from the real problems AND it works unbelievable well. This works right in the family units across the nation. Were even if I'm scared as crap of my daughter becoming a hoe, I can always look at TV and be like, "Your not going to end up with one of those are you?" "Of course not dad....." And look a real conversation! Well as far as most go...... So its not them buddy, its us..... its all us......

But the deeper underlining nature of the belonginess is based on a precieve superior we can have over the issue at hand. Althou we can all say most celebraties are AMORAL and lost, we don't give a rats butt, because it makes the rest of us look good, at looking bad..... while they look bad, at being good, gives us a nice pride bust in a culture that kicks all the rest of us around....
