Cons:
1) Unprotected sex can accelerate spread of STDs.
2) Moral issues such as corruption of minors.
3) Potential of being raped, beaten or killed is higher than normal.

The pros and cons are really obvious, with the cons
outweighing the pros. One must judge carefully before taking up this so-called profession full-time, in terms of diseases, money, reputation and a host of other negative psychological and physical effects. Though one can get quick and easy money like drug peddling, is it worth all the high risks?
Their is a lot of guilt associated and there are many cases where customers kill prostitutes, as they refuse to pay up. And once one contracts AIDs, the chances of being treated are rather slim. Take up a couple of courses or learn some skills instead, for that is really a better way towards longevity and happier and worry-free life.

Pros- the money, no special skills or education required, you make your own hours, you'll always have a "job" because men will forever want laid.

Cons- disease, risk of getting beat up, killed or raped(I guess that would just be getting ripped off), temptation of drug use and abuse, being considered by many to be the scum of mankind, trying to keep it a secret from your family and the disappointment of your family if they ever found out, to never be able to think of or enjoy sex in the same way ever again, finding a partner would be nearly impossible, getting arrested and always having that on your record if you ever wanted to get a "real" job.

I'm not judging, but I hope you aren't really thinking of becoming a prostitute. There are shows out there that glamorize prostitution and I refuse to believe that is the norm in the world of the sex for money.

Do you mean for the legalization of prostitution? Without knowing that, I'm not sure how to answer this. PROS- some women actually choose to be in the world's oldest profession. They're free agents and don't have pimps. They take very good care of themselves and make sure they don't contract aids or any stds. They also make very good money. CONS- Pimps can be very brutal to their *girls* if they don't make enough money on johns. I think it should be legalized like it is in Amsterdam. Then there would be no violent pimps. And the drugs would go away.

Pros: its basically the 1st profession, its a victimless crime so to speak, it serves it own purpose, valuable service. Cons: Since only the female selling her body will make money it some how becomes illegal all of a sudden but if a camera is present and others will also make money off it it some how becomes legal, imagine that. And STD's.
