I am 5 '7' and I'm 53 years old. I have always worn heels!! I have friends who are taller and also wear heels. It really has to do with how comfortable and natural you feel in the heels! if you carry yourself proudly and naturally in the heels, you will look great!! If they make you feel tall and awkward, then your stance will reflect that "feeling", so it is really all up to you!

I think height is over-rated.

Wear heels if you want. But whatever you do, stand tall and have good posture. Makes a world of difference as to how great you can look and also tells the world you have confidence.

Too many tall women feel awkward about their height, and compensate by slouching. Not only does that look terrible, but it doesn't give your internal organs the room that they should have and will decrease your energy.

A tall woman with great posture..... what's not to love?

I have been involved with women of many sizes throughout my life. Shortest was about 4' 7" I think and tallest was 6'. They also ranged in age from 15 years younger to 11 years older. Also from very sveldt and thin to rather obese........

The age and the height issues just didn't exist for me since they weren't important to me. I think it is the personality and character that are important, and you can't figure that out by looking at someone's size, age, or ethnic group.

Good luck.

Tall yes but not too tall.
You are 15 years old, don't be too conscious of your height. Be thankful. Otherwise you will tend to stoop down which will lead to crooked spinal column and a lot of surgery in a couple of years.
With your age a pair of high-heeled shoes is not really called for. Though when you really have to dress up, wear high-heels! It is much pleasant to the eyes to see tall girls wear high heels than short or small girls wear on high-heels. Walk Tall!

I always thought taller women looked a bit odd, personally. I'm from an ethnic group where the women average about 5'3", and I personally have GH deficiency, which left me at 4'10" since I was 10 years old (not to mention a few other effects, such as being tired all the time, sore joints, etc.) Tall women look very foreign to me, almost out of place. I associate them with being from other countries, mostly European or African ones. We Cherokee are not a tall people, especially not the women.

Besides, don't you think it's freaky for a woman to be taller than her father?

It's nice to have a woman who is tall. You are at average height for guys so if they are anything like me they would love your height. And guys always find heels attractive. Wear the heels and look SEXY.

your height is perfect! celebrate it.
wear heels when you want to. don't restrain yourself for other people specially over something that you really cannot control - like you height. You are tall so don't feel bad when you stand out among your family.
cheer up and just accept things as they are because if you won't you'll be unhappy for a long time.

who gives a crap about what people think! The fact that you know you're 5'9'' and you don't give a flying hoot about what people think, should be good enough to you! There are girls that are ALOT taller then you in this world, and that 5'9'' is about to become the new "average" height due to the fact girls are constantly becoming taller. I wouldn't feel ashamed at all because I'm sure deep down, your sister or any other girls you know, wish they were your height! you have no thing to be conscious of!

Don't feel weird. Be proud of your height. Men like woman who are tall and especially self-confident. If you have the right body build for heels, go for it.

No way. Many women would kill to be nearly as tall as you (I bet your sister wishes she had some of your height). Why do you think heels were invented in the first place? Women want to be taller!
