religion has helped stop people from becoming bad guys

religion creats conflict over which god is the real god and who isn't
religion can make people do bad things, like 911 for example, or the suicide boomers.
****** i think that if the world had to have religion, being cathlic or jewish is the best because those religions inforce people to be good to one another. i also think that without religion, there would be a lot less conflicts and hardships in the world. i hope thats what you wanted to hear

I even have responded this question many, many circumstances. on a similar time as i'm an atheist and sense that faith is merely mythology, the respond isn't any. the international could be no distinctive without faith. Why? because of the fact faith is a mirror of society. that's a justification for why we do the flaws we do. without faith, we'd merely have something else, another theory, another dogma, that folk use the justify their behaviors. evaluate racism, social classification, social golf equipment, political events... in case you examine out them, all of them proportion lots of a similar features as faith: feeling of purpose and club, imbuing individuals with a feeling of superiority, a sharing of elementary strategies, a resistance to alter, etc. without faith, those, and different agencies like them, might merely fill the roll of religion.

YES!!! Religion has been the cause of alot of hate. Religion forces ppl to seperate and label themselves instead of coming together as one race human kind!
