is it just the word? i'm gay and i want to get married. it is more important to me right now to get the rights that hetero couples get when married rather than being recognized uner God. do you think that if gays were given the "marriage rights" under the lable "civil unions" it would be allowed

I've been trying to call a sodding office for the past 45 minutes now and for all that time I've had to suffer through the unbearable crappiness that is the 80's pop-funk jingle.

Grrrr!!

Where do these so called 'musicians' live and how can I get my vengance?

This post is not just for one race, it's open, please enlighten me your views History is repeating itself. They say beside every great man, there is a good woman. However, it seems as though woman are becoming just as, if not more, successful than black men. Brothers, I don?t know whether you have been watching, but I'm here to tell you that within the next 10 yrs, not only will African American woman have executive positions in the corporate world, but they will also be the head of many households abroad. I know it may be tough to make sense of, but stay with me. African American woman are the backbone of the black race. Ask, Harriett Tubman, Rosa Parks, or Ida Wells Barnett. These are woman that walked the walk. Ask Cloretta Scott King, Myrlie Evans, or Betty Shabazz, all woman that walked in faith with courageous black men. I just roughly spanned close about 400 years of history, so let me slow it down for you all. (full story: visit www.overstand.o-f.com) Thank you.

Lots of folk don't care for me much and its probably because certain parts of me are abrasive and really not interested in friendship...yet, my own choosing of being a prik leaves me sad...since most people are jerks, I can't figure out why it bothers me so much.

America is a whole continent not a country, as a matter of fact since it's actually 3 continents, North, South and Central America, even though some people argue that Central America is not a continent; it would even be wrong to call it America, if anything it should be called North America, but that would also be wrong because Canada is in North America as well.

Americans objectify their women. Women are led to believe their worth is based on looks, playboy covers and not on character, intelligence or personality. Is it a false sense of freedom when they say women can choose...yet....American females starve themselves to death and engage in self destructive behavior, promiscuity etc.

Americans wont even let a woman be President. Are you telling me that over 200 years of freedom and not 1 female was good enough to be president in this free country????
Even Muslim countries have had a female Prime Minister.
Even third world countries have had female Presidents.

And you can say Muslims treat their women badly blblblblblalbalbala. But does that negate the hypocritical attitude Americans have on women? False sense of freedom. Americans are just as bad as the Muslims they hate.

I'd say drugs like Heroin & crack/cocaine, they are really bad news and are causing irrepairable holes in our society.

or is there something worse going on??

Not only would it please the god squad & the rest of the lemmings to be rid of us, especially the door knockers, but it would prove once & for all that a society completely devoid of religion would be a better place.

This is a piggy back onto a question that was asked by another user. Apparently, a number of people feel that irrefutable facts CAN be racist. I'm interested in knowing how this can be. In my mind, irrefutable facts are irrefutable facts that are what they are. The only place that racism could possibly enter into the picture is in the delivery of aforementioned facts which does not make the facts themselves racist nor does it negate them. Certainly, it's not enough to know a fact without researching the underlying reasons why but that wasn't part of the question. Any thoughts on this?

Thanks.
