I have learned to accept it. Growing up I never noticed I did it till I was 6. My dad does it too. I have wondered if it was genetic or does it skip a generation. I have learned to compromise with words. I not horrible but it happens. I have been to speech therapist when I was little but it did nothing. Plus for odd reasons I wouldn't stutter around the therapist. I hated when people didn't understand my dilemma and would giggle. I love the people who are understanding, who understand and don't make fun of it. Sometimes I make great stride in my speech, I don't believe in therapy or special devices, and learned to live with it. I really hated when people would say just " calm down",(they don't understand). Some people are hush hush about it, and don't acknowledge it. Sometimes I try to hide it, like it's my sercet identity or something. I would be like Clark Kent, trying to conceal it. Have you had similar experiences and how do you deal with it?

I love festivals! I especially love the ones in the fall where you can get out in the beautiful weather and buy goodies and other stuff you don't need but LOVE. Autumn is just my favorite time of year. Nearby, we have the Covered Bridge Festival, the Broom Corn Festival, the Apple & Pork Festival and many more. I don't know if they're as popular in other parts of the country as they are in the midwest but I suspect they are.

I read this today and was shocked, What is your take? This was document approved by the the Pope himself:

"Christ 'established here on earth' only one church," the document said. The other communities "cannot be called 'churches' in the proper sense" because they do not have apostolic succession -- the ability to trace their bishops back to Christ's original apostles. And only the Catholic Religion can offer salvation.

First me and her were actually good friends. We go out every other weekend and party together. We're basically polar opposites when it comes to personalities. She is very prissy, rich girl type and I am, well, lets's just say I'm not at all!! As time has went on I have been getting really irritated with her at work and hanging out outside of work. I have been trying to avoid going out with her because of it and finally last Friday I decided to go out with her. By the end of the night I got pissed at her and I only remember slapping her, but then my friends told me I threw a combo on her and knocked her a_s_s to the ground. She can't fire me because she is not the owner, but she is still one of my boss's. She has been in a bad mood with everyone since we came back Monday. Everyone figured out that we are having issues now. I don't know what to do, quit, bite and bare it or apologize? The thing is that I don't want to apologize now with how she's been acting, I might knock her out again!

Have you ever felt a ghost's precence or seen one? Last night I was trying to fall asleep and then I see my door open and then I see a dark shadowy figure walk across my hallway. It was about 4 feet tall. It couldn't have been my parents becuase they are about 5 foot 7 inches. And the weird part is, I'm a 14 year old who is an ONLY child!!! Has this ever happend to you?

Ok, everyone's yelling at me because I'm the heartless villian out to ruin the environment. But seriously, what the hell did those concerts do (well, they mildly entertained, but in terms of global action)? I mean, are we letting the environment know we care? And how much energy was used, how many plastic waterbottles (may I add, held by many of the performers onstage)? Come on, this whole event was organized by AL GORE. Buddy, get your life in order before you come telling us how to live ours. Plus, didn't you demonize rock music not too long ago?
What a huge waste. This completely undermined events such as the Conspiracy of Hope Tour for Amnesty International, or Liveaid or Live8, all three of which actually changed something by occuring. To save the environment- turn off your lights, don't litter, be kind to animals, don't make a bigger ecological footprint than you have to. It's that simple.
So- am I being heartless? Or just realistic?

In the 1950's Blacks had no rights and couldn't vote in the South. In the North they lived in the worse ghettoes in America under a police state. Women can only be nurses in the military and had very few job options. They were mostly house wives, and few were let into college. Also Sexual assualt and Domestic abuse was unheard of then. Gay and lesbians had to remain hidden because of fear. And lastly they told school children to hide under their desk in case of a nuclear attack! The 1950's sound like a get time!
