First me and her were actually good friends. We go out every other weekend and party together. We're basically polar opposites when it comes to personalities. She is very prissy, rich girl type and I am, well, lets's just say I'm not at all!! As time has went on I have been getting really irritated with her at work and hanging out outside of work. I have been trying to avoid going out with her because of it and finally last Friday I decided to go out with her. By the end of the night I got pissed at her and I only remember slapping her, but then my friends told me I threw a combo on her and knocked her a_s_s to the ground. She can't fire me because she is not the owner, but she is still one of my boss's. She has been in a bad mood with everyone since we came back Monday. Everyone figured out that we are having issues now. I don't know what to do, quit, bite and bare it or apologize? The thing is that I don't want to apologize now with how she's been acting, I might knock her out again!

This is a very good job, I make a lot of money doing it. Also she is NOT the main boss, if I don't do what she says I will not get fired!

I'm Irish, getting drunk and angry is in the blood line:) LMAO

just appraoch her and tell her that since you work together that you both need to act like adults and leave your personal problems outside. its not fair to anyone else in the office that they should have to bear her wrath because of something that has nothing to do with work.

You are VERY lucky if you got away with knocking someone's (anyone's) a** to the ground, and are fortunate you still have your job. As soon as possible you should go to your boss lady friend and apologize profusely and make up for it by inviting her to lunch and being nice to her. But you may have embarrassed yourself out a good job.

You were so wrong to do this. You'd be in DEEP trouble if you kicked my a** to the ground. I hope you have learned a lesson to keep your hands off other people. Also, I think you might be jealous of her. Perhaps she is not the friend for you.

If these tactics don't work, find another job and leave this lady alone. Here's to relationships! Yuk!

Well, the best idea is to let things cool down a bit, then apologize. Remeber that everyone gets into little fights, even good freinds. Remind her of that. Also, you said you don't remember slapping her more than once, so stop and think, were you sober at the time? If not, apologize to your boss and say you wouldn't have done it if you hadn't been drinking. Hope I helped.

She might not be able to fire you, but she certainly could recommend that you be fired. Irreconcilable differences could be the justifcation. Not only would I apologize, but I'd think about getting an attorney. If your boss is smart, she'll call the cops on you. Assault and battery is a crime. Sounds to me like you might need some anger management or counseling.

Always stick by what you believe in & if you believe in it enough you will be prepared to suffer the consequences..Just keep your distance. If on the other hand you threw a wobbly over something that really doesn't matter & you over reacted then maybe you may have to apologies, but if it's not meant, then why bother.Only you know that,no one else can actully tell you what to do that is best for you....

You beat up your boss??? ooooo yo gon' git it! Okay look, the thing about bosses are that most are pretty evil and all you can do is suck up to them and take their crap even though you probably can't take it one bit. The best thing to do is apologize to her and hope for her to forgive you. Apologizing gets you a better chance of being able to keep your job. If she doesn't forgive you...that's too bad, you tried right? if she does, then hopefully this gets you closer to your boss and in the future you look back at that moment and laugh.

good luck!

get anger management.
no matter how much someone pisses you off you dont have the right to hit them. the problem is not with your boss, it is with you.
get some help, apologize and tell her that you are working out your issues, and try not to let the gossip stuff bother you too much.
do you really want to be the girl who just might beat u up if u piss her off? you will loose a lot of friends that way.

If you hit her first, she could have had you arrested for assault. You should apologize to her in private (keep it an apology- do not rehash the incident- apologize sincerely) and if you had any class you would hand in your two weeks notice to the owner, citing personal reasons. And enroll in an anger management class. This was not acceptable behavior in any way.

Sounds like you might need to look for another job. Of course you ought to try to apologize anyway. Make peace with her, but you might not want to go out with her or be around her so much.

In my opinion you shouldn't run out and look for another job, if you were wrong apologize, if you weren't lesson learned for her. But you are learning a harsh lesson that every action has a consequence. Good luck to you.
