I heard of a contest once where people were suposed to write in what they would be willing to do in a big department store window, where all could see, if they were garanteed to be paid $1,000,000. Lots of people tried to out do each other by writting in the most nasty, humiliating, outlandish thing they could think of doing in publice for a million dollars.

I always thought it would be far more interesting to know what people would refuse to do if they were offered a million dollars to do it.

Pretty simple. I always really want to do something at a time when I can't. For example at the moment I want to play my bass guitar but its 4am and I live in university accomodation with people on either side of me, who would NOT appreciate my enthusiasm.
Why does this happen? Is it some sort of fate?!

ok it started out with a little sore throat and then the next day the sore throat got worse and has been getting even worse in the past 2 days. But today its totally horrible, i feel perfectly fine like my face and nose and eyes dont feel icky like they do when youre sick and my body feels energized and i feel like i always do but my throat is HORRIBLE...to explain the feeling is like a horrible sore throat so bad that i cant even swallow, like whne i swallow it feels like im swallowing a giant rock and its driving me crazy cuz im trying to like suck on a popsicle or sumtin to make it better but that justs makes it hurt even worse and its like nooooothing is helping, it feels swollen and like theres rocks in it when i swallow. if any one can help this weird sore throat go away please help! a kid in my school thinks its strep throat but idc wut it is i just need some kind of cure to make the pain go away, at least enough so it doesnt hurt when i swallow!! thank youuuuu!!!!

I'm a college student going into the medical field. I've finally decided that for the next 2 years (however long i'm going to be in school), i've got to sacrifice my social life. I don't go to little things on the weekends anymore because personally, i tend to get distracted easily (and i KNOW my limits). I'm naturally a fun person (i know how to have fun 'til it gets the best of me), "playful", etc...I can't just temporarily have fun on weekends (parties, drinking) cuz i know that's gonna get in my way in the long run. It's hard because I like doing those things and friends are tempting and giving me pressure. Friday and Saturday nights are meant to "have fun" and take a break - but with my hectic schedule, it's hard for me to switch modes and party - esp. since i'm soo concentrated on school. I'm not innocent- I know once i'm done with school, that's when i'll DEFINITELY have my fun - but no one gets it - am i doing the right thing? how do i resist these pressures and temptations?

I went to the mall and saw some guys doing weird stuff to the clothes in one of the stores. I yelled at one of the security guards but it turned out they were people who worked in the stores. Alittle later I saw some guys who looked suspicous. I followed them throughout the mall and yelled out that they those guys are going to either rob a store or do something to the trash cans. It ended up being another dead end... BUT... as I was leaving I saw someone step into a shopping bag and fall on the floor. Wierd huh?
