Not a Bill Cosby advocate but it seems that he does have some valid points at times. Al Sharpton is so jokey to me. I like Senator Obama but he seems ultra conservative at times. Out of these choices or if you know of some others please feel free to mention them, I cannot choose a leader someone's example that I would like to follow or advice that I would heed to. It seems to me in this era of blatant "bushism" we would be clawing tooth and nail to be organizing some kind of moevement but...no. Is the fight over, or have the rules just changed? Or do think that the people who fought so hard for us, did it in vain?

I can understand that parents with prams may need more room at the side of the car to get the baby in and out.
But WHY do parents with children who are able to walk use these spaces?
Surely with the number of overweight children nowadays it would make more sense to have them walking further rather than encouraging their (and their parents) laziness.
Does anyone disagree?

My husband and I have a friend, "Tom" who has custody of his twin 9 yr. old girls. We have been friends with him for 5 yrs. Problem: his daughters steal food out of my fridge when they visit. They then go outside and scarf it down somewhere real fast. I just found out about it--I was going to make my 6 yr. old daughter lunch and the snacks were missing. She said they ate them underneath a tree and tried to hide, but she saw them. Do I say something to just the girls, or dad too? I think this has been happening for a while--I already offer them juice and a snack when they come to visit, because food at their house is sparse.

Why is it that teen girls don't know enough about thier bodies? I mean I am not trying to be mean to them by asking this because it might not be thier faults, but how come so many girls ask pregnancy related questions that they should know the answers to? For example.."Can I get Pregnant on my period?" "Can I get pregnant if i have unproteced sex a day after my period"? or I had sex yesterday and I don't feel good...could I be pregnant? I mean what can be done about this? Should schools teach them? should parents? and does anyone else think that this may be the main reason our Teenage Pregnancy rate is so out of control?

I'm a packrat! I don't think I'm a hoarder; ( that might be a more serious condition!) I like to think of myself as a collector! However, I sometimes get overwhelmed by my sentimentality and attachment to certain items. I save old magazines, ( I'm going to read them all someday!) I have lots of old clothes ( when I get skinnier, I'm going to wear them all someday!) I have lots of taped VCR movies,( I'm going to sit down and watch them someday!) I love pillows, ( they're here and there, and everywhere!) You get the picture! Whatever I save, I have tons of it!
What unusual things do you "collect"? And do you have a hard time throwing some of this stuff out? For me, there's always a reason I have to keep it!
My house is clean, I'm very clever at hiding the stuff! ;~)

Why do questions involving sex get deleted from this site. I don't want the usual "this is a family site where children can view things blah blah blah..." I want the reason WHY that's considered a problem. I wanna know why people can't be more open about this kinda stuff anyway.
I just find it all very strange.

Some people seem to feel they got to Blab things about others they really know nothing about. They Blab what they think is true about who they are blabbing about yet they don't ever associate with who they blab about. Usually they are absolutely wrong when they blab.
Even if they happen to be right they still don't have the right to blab. Why do they do it? Do they love annoying people? Are the Blabbers the Devils?
