I think that it is a matter of time and space. There is a season for everything under the Sun. If you just wait on God, He will provide you with the things that you truly need, and the desires of your heart, if they align with His will. Remember, the desires of the flesh can be different then the things of the heart. The heart is suppose to contain the image of God, so those would reflect His will for you. If you are finding it hard to contain your desires, then it means you need to surrender it all to God. That is easy for me to say I know, but the truth is that the flesh will cause you to desire things that might not be in God's time for you.

Depends on the desire. If it's not going to hurt you or anyone else then consider it. If it is putting you or anyone else at risk for being hurt (physically, emotionally, spiritually) then you need to really think things through and perhaps curb those desires or go about them in a way that will be least hurtful. Again, it really depends on what it is and who is involved.

Assimilation usually works best in almost all situations. Giving in signifies weakness. Giving up shows cowardice and lack of determination. Curb yourself is somewhat of an assimilation process because you are curbing yourself to adapt to the environment around you and sometimes it is necessary.

Depends on what it is - food, drinking, drugs - knock yourself out to a point, but get over it.
If you're married, thinking of cheating, something that is fundamentally morally wrong - don't do it, because nothing stays burried forever, and when it does come out, you will most likely be at a point in your life when you'd say that what you did was a mistake.
Curb yourself if you have to, moderate yourself if you can't, and get it out of your system as fast as possible.
Good Luck!

depends on the desires. If it's life dreams - go for it. If it's illegal give it up. If it harms you give it up. If it hurts others give it up. Curb yourself only if you are unsure.
