I know being objective is fair, but since we live in an unfair world, why be objective? Can't there be exceptions? Sometimes there are things in this world that are out of your control, but it does'nt mean you have to suffer for it

I have spent my life dreaming of being an astronaut and when i finally get a job at nasa I couldn't have been happier. The time has finally come for me to go into space but I have a problem. You see, during the last trip, one of the other astronauts came into contact with and swore allegiance to an alien overlord. I'm the only one he told. If I tell the other astronauts, they will surely cancel my trip into space, but if I don't tell, who knows what plan this other man is doing for the alien overlord. The results could be catastrophic. Do I give up my dream to possibly prevent a world calamity?

Every now and then I will ask a question about relationships or men/women interactions and I get answers that are inconsistent with real world observations. Do you deliberately lie if you are turned off by a question?

Well, I guess the better question is does the MEDIA promote stupidity? Think about it. A lot people don't really know what is going on in the American government or in the world for that matter. Yet, everyone knows what is going on with celebrities. Convince me (I beg of you) that this is not true.
P.S. I asked this question a while back. I'm hoping for more answers.

Today I saw a guy at hte gas station yapping while he filled his tank..I go to the grocery store...a lady yapping there..and that dont count all the people yapping while they drive and CAUSE accidents!!!! ANNOYING!!!!!!!!!!

Until the media and technology was able to give us instantaneous communication - it was not possible for the notion of celebrity or celebrity culture that is so embraced today to exist..

In a market economy it is clearly financially driven yet we Joe Public seem to have an almost insatiable appetite for glossy mags/hollywood news etc etc

Personally I scratch my head at this phenomenon but do note that something must clearly be distinctive about our society when the likes of Posh/Becks or Brad and Angelina are more familiar to all of us than the families next door..

These people are ultimately often just people - not necessarily bright, or funny or kind or altruistic either.. they are often good at entertaining but would probably not have the knowledge to perform key hole surgery to save someone's life or the selflessness needed to dedicated themselves to say devoting their life to saving poor children..

So why the adoration? Shallow and misplaced in my view..

I grauated from school a year early and not starting college until next year. I'm watching a farm for some friends that are out of the country, there are no towns around and I have no friends this far from home.

They have some cows, and chickens does anyone know how to milk a cow or find chicken eggs ?

They have a rifle here, my grandfather taught me how to target shoot and got me a hunting license. I've never killed an animal before but my grandmother used to make the worlds best rabbit stew. They have rabbits on the farm. I don't know how I would feel about shooting a rabbit, but I love rabbit stew. Does anyone have a recipe for rabbit stew, or would I feel bad after shooting one? I also found hidden, bottle of wine, I took wine in communion and it made me feel good, should I try a few sips before going rabbit hunting?
