Two people that understand and accept each other for who they are. You must first be a good friend in order to recieve a good friend. Let each other be there selves and even if you are not in agreement with what the other thinks or feels be there for them. There are so many other qualitys that have to play into a relationship but these are some of the basic beginnings to becoming a "good friend"

Friendship is a covenant. Friends may bicker and disagree, but, when the chips are down, friends stand up for each others viewpoints as though they were their own. Jerry Seinfeld did a routine once in which he said, "Ever notice that the same handful of friends that actually show up and help on moving day are the same handful of friends that carry your coffin someday?"

Someone who is there for you when you are happy. I've noticed it's much easier to help someone who's a little depressed than to hear someone as they're talking about their happiness, especially if you are not as happy as they are. You've got to be a very good friend not to feel jealous.

A friend is Someone you Know, Like and Trust. There's no other explanation so take it for what it says.
