why do people put others into 'boxes' or social stereotypes

if we are all unique, why are people so eager to judge - is this an easier path than getting to know someone really well??

u simply tick the boxes and say yep, he does this so hes that, he does that so the other??

is this an accepted way for a society to control parts of its culture?? (ie that which is different from itself) aqnd is this why we find it so hard to accept people that are not 'like us'

I asked why many Americans are racist, but I also remarked that many weren't. So read it fully: Many are and many aren't. Which amounts to say that not all are but some are. and believe me...I am not a racist. I don't see any need to radicalize these tipes of issues.

Seriously, a majority of native English-speaking people need to learn the correct mechanics of the English language. Also, the improper use of "their, they're, and there" as well as the misuse of "your and you're" aggravates the hell out of me.

Around 9 million people died during the Crusades. Around 9-11 million people died during the Holocaust (though some estimates are higher and all over the place).

The Catholics wanted everyone to be Catholic. Hitler wanted everyone to be Christian and Aryan. They both rampaged around and murdered people who weren't what they wanted.

They both used ludicrous reasoning to justify their mass murders. God agreed with it, so it was just fine and dandy.

The Nazis and Neo-Nazis deny(ied) over and over that the Holocaust never happened. Ancient Catholics justified the Crusades, and modern-day ones just forget about the way their ancestors slaughtered millions of people in the name of "God."

They were all ignorant and couldn't pull their heads out of their posteriors long enough to see that they were wrong. And to this today, they still preach their delusional beliefs and truckloads of hypocrisy.

Before you answer this question, lets anolyze your life a bit.

Do you lie? The answer to this is yes. Sure, you'll call them little white lies, but they're not always so little are they? And they're never white, there is always some interest in gaining something.

Do you steal. Everyone takes some little things here and there. Whether it's at the job taking on the phone when you're suppose to be working or a heart that you stole just for the game of it, you have robbed.

If you go down the list by which you hold yourself to be good you will find that you fall short of being good.

Don't forget that being good is not a part-time thing or a thing of convenience. You have to be good all the time, to qualify as good.

This can be a tiny task or starting a big project. I just let stuff pile up and it usually ends up costing me money or being more hassle in the end.
