Questions on this site ( many) ask " why do whites............"? I am tired of feeling I have to explain all people are equal. Sterotyping is not acceptable , UNLESS, you are talking about fat or white people. Your opinion?

Doesn't that defeat the purpose of yahoo answers? Can't the question asker just "search the web" himself?

It is so easy to go to this magic box and get an answer to almost anything. This is my new toy and I'm having a ball, BUT...I hope I never lose my love of books .When I see an answer to one of my questions that would take the minimum of 10 minutes to answer, pop up in three minutes, it's like they faxed me a page off the web. I envisioned everyone running to their record collections and madly searching thru them when I asked Beatle or Wings questions.Instead I got a perfectly typed out HUGE list of songs that didn't mean anything to me. I'm old fashioned. I'm also sleepy.

when a child SUDDENLY starts acting out . NOT because of being spoiled or lack of dicipline or mental illness. why can't parents see that when a child's behavior suddenly changes it could be because he/she is being molested.

I came up with this little phrase while writing an essay for my high school government class about the War on Terror back in 2003. I think it single-handedly bagged me an A. Call me arrogant, or whatever, but I thought it was so clever, I commited it to memory.

An unjust peace that permits tranquility at the cost of one's dignity and sovereignty is not worth the blood, sweat, and tears that were spared to keep it. Such a condition is the shackles that make us slaves to the whims of others. True peace, being not only the absence of conflict, but the presence of justice and liberty, can not be granted by the mercy of one's enemies. It is borne of the hardships and sacrifices endured by those willing to fight and die for it. Such a goal is the only cause worthy of so arduous an effort, and the only reward worth so high a price.

Here are mine, what are yours?

I believe that ghosts are the souls of people who are not resting peacefully. Someone who was murdered and never got justice, someone who was wrongfully put to death and never recieved a sincere apology from their killer, a spouse who is not with their soulmate, things like that. I also believe that spirits are lost loved ones who look over us in our time of need. They are different from ghosts because they are peaceful in their death but want to look over their families from time to time to make sure that they are okay.

Does this make sense?

do you try to present a more diplomatic approach? Or are you like, " Feelings or no feelings, I'm going straight for the jugular!" Myself? Depending upon the argument, I typically try to find a diplomatic solution........at first.
