My dad is a doctor, and whenever I tell people that, the personal attacks start. I hear people ask me if I paid for my car, ask me if I pay for my stuff, if I don't have a job, they'll ask me if I live off my dad, if I have one, ask why I'm working...it gets annoying.
What is it their business? Why can't they just accept their responsiblity for their financial position in life, instead of complaining? So many of these same people are jealous of me, yet they won't do the simple things that will improve their life.
I don't care if you bought your car yourself, or live on your own on a minimum-wage job. Don't complain just because my dad bought a car for me or someone else. I know people who get 10x more than I do, and have the attitude to go along with it. You know what, if the person were nice, I wouldn't even care. I'm a nice guy, and I hear this crap all the time.
Foreigners like myself complain Americans are obsessed with money. It's so true.
