I am an atheist. I really hate it when people pray for me or say they feel sorry for me. I feel sorry for them. They spend their time and money on a cult. Then they feed that crap into the minds of little children who have no choice as to believe or not believe because they are told that if they don't they will go to "hell".

yes i am a non believer and ONE of MANY reasons why i am an athiest/agnostic is because i don't want to be part of a judgemental, narrow minded cult like society that takes peoples money to brainwash them looking for an answer they will never find and PART (not all) of the reason i feel this way today is b/c although i have my own beliefs i could always respect the beliefs of others but 9 out of 10 of the christians i have met have been nothing but rude to me. all i ever hear out of their mouths is how they feel sorry for me, how the pity me, that i am going to hell, that my children are damned, the devil is taking over my life, i've had people i barely knew preaching to me, showing up at my work trying to force a bible on me, etc...... how mean! talk about coming off like a cult!! not one of them could respect the fact that i believe in something else. not one! do they do that to muslims too? and buddhists? and all the other religions as well? just badger them to the point of mental abuse? okay so i asked myself, now why in the world would i want any part of that???????

One who thinks that the universe is best explained without God in the equation. Put simply, one who doesn't believe in God, yet one cannot totally know there is no God. You would have to be omniscient - a God-like attribute - to know for sure that there is no God anywhere in the vast universe. God could be cleverly side stepping you everytime you try to find him. I think most atheists are really agnostic ... simply don't include God in their thinking. A Naturalist is one who believes that all there is in existence is the physical universe. Maybe Naturalists are more like atheists than philosophers who argue about whether or not there is a God.

a person who believes their is no way of understanding a supreme being. He is invisible, he has to answer everyone's prayer. His only day to rest is where everyone needs something. Is responsible for mass murders all over the world in mercy of his name. If I was God I would be pissed all these hooligans are using my name to justify their righteous ego.
Atheist just don't believe people will ever understand a True spiritual being.

Ok, im a christian and i have learned a little bit about athiests. They are people who don't believe in a Heaven or Hell or God or Satan. They believe in the Big Bang Boom theory.

the term atheist is used for those who say gods don't exist and sometimes for those who are agnostic about it.
see a lot of posts from fundamentalist braindead christians with no tolerance for different views...it sure seems much more believable that the creator of the whole universe is worried about humans having pre-marital sex and cursing outloud...wake up! get over yourselves!
oh, and it's "atheism"

ME, and to those sorry, lost souls out there looking for answers. Keep reading the bible if you want to. If you haven't found the answers to your questions by now, then it is I who feel sorry for you. So don't pray for me, or feel sorry for me. I lead a wonderful wholesome life. And I'm doing it without your foolish belief in something other than myself.
