I seem to remember my grandmother saying something about a superstition about crickets coming into the house.

I'm just like my sign! I'm a Leo, very bold, creative, artistic, and sometimes overconfident person. I like the color gold, I consume very exotic things and my weakness is my relationships (I tend to get clingy and too attached), and the will to help everyone in need (even if it means my last 2 dollars)
I also have this weird fling for leopard/animal print, so, anyone just like their sign???

like if aliens came (half life 2 style) and conquered the Earth, and established a totalitarian puppet goverment, kept us under control by controlling our neural hardwiring (feel good about hitting other humans---so they could make drones out of us to control our own population)---etc, and specifying us genetically (experiment) to integrate them into their interdimentional empire----use our genetic superiority (what is good about us) in their empire..

Basically, I don't have anything to do, and I thought that would be cool. Half life is awesome.

I am not here to debate religious theology, and I'm not going to ask anyone if they believe Satan is a real entity, if they believe in God, or even if this story is true or not. I am simply cursious as to where people got the idea that Satan, or Lucifer, was an angel in Heaven that God cast out. It's not anywhere in the Bible - does anyone know where this story originated?

In college I was dating a girl who, as it turns out, was a vampire. It took me several months to come to this realization for I was fixated on her limitless beauty and infinite wisdom.

Her skin was as pale as the flesh of a lychee and glowed in the moonlight for she refused to be seen by day.

She took classes in the evening and slept all day. The only times I saw her outdoors in the dawn were when it was raining. She loved the rain. She had a large collection of trench coats and umbrellas. Under her coat she wore the most lovely skirts. I always got a kick out of seeing her wear a skirt with boots. (not literally)

I loved her. When she was ill I would tend to her. When she was sad I would comfort her. The realization that she was a vampire momentarily stopped my heart as I was overcome by respect and fear.

In the end, I decided to break it off. Maybe I was too afraid, maybe the vampire "life" isn't for me, I don't know.

Was I wrong or did I do the right thing?

I've heard it said of people who are mystical or seem to have everything go well with them that they have "silver in their blood." Where does this come from? Is silver supposed to be a sort of amulet?

if you make a wish at 11:11 o'clock it will come true. If you don't, do make a wish anyway? I know its silly but my wish came true last time the day after I wished.

(Im not sure if its in the right category but Mythology and Folklore seems good enough)
