I've heard it said of people who are mystical or seem to have everything go well with them that they have "silver in their blood." Where does this come from? Is silver supposed to be a sort of amulet?

Look. Heres the propper answer. Having silver in your blood was called a blue blood, because the amount of silver in your blood gave it a blueish look. And Kings, queens and rich people in rennasonce days ate with silver cuttlery wich accumulated in the blood. Giving blueish look. Also silver is a very good anti bacteriar, Theres an old wifes tale about putting a silver doller in a glass of milk and leaving it out in the sun and it wont spoil.
Have you heard of coloidial silver? it is silver in a coloid form in liquid, you can put a few drops in water to kill the germs and improve. Also put it on cut and sores. Or gargle to kill bacterier and remove stain on teath. I have tried it it works.

I've heard of the saying "being born with a silver spoon in your mouth" meaning being born into a rich family, or having blue blood, meaning being born into the aristocracy - so some might think being born rich and privileged might be lucky but can't say of heard of your saying.

No, the term meant they came from money. Most coins of the Medieval and Renaissance periods were made of silver. Those who had easy access were concidered well born...lucky because of what family they were born to. They didn't have to work for their money so they were lucky.

I think that it meant that they may have had luck with money, and usually some kind of luck like that which comes from faeries, and they are mostly associated with silver.
