it's just so overrated and ppl r getting more crazy about it every year. I mean, if u love somone u don't really need a day to show him\her love, esp a day that everyone else does! i know u may say it's just nice to expect a day to do certain things but heck u can have more than a day if u want u. It also puts so much pressures on those lonely ones, who might feel unwanted or unloved just because they don't have a date on the 14th of Feb.!
If u love anything\one u can show it anywhere, anyhow and anytime!
it's just a media prank just to make all those cheesy songs, and Hallmark probably got something to do with makin it such a big deal too ;p

So, my ex and I have a weird situation, but it works for us. We were together for almost two years, and broke up. We broke up on very good terms, since we both knew it just wasn't working. Neither of us have dated anyone else, and we both consider each other our best friends. We just are better just as friends right now.
Anyways, we are going out on Valentines Day, since neither of us want to be alone, and figure no one better than eachother. Any ideas for a fun night thats not all the mushy lovey-dovey stuff. We just want to go out and have a good time... Thanks!

I like this girl, and she knows I like her and she's really nice to me. I want to let her know how I "really" feel about her, and I thought I would do this by giving her a poem on V-day. Does this sound like a good idea? If you're a girl, how would you feel/react if a guy that liked you (not you like him) gave you a poem?

We started talking on the 5th, and things are going really well and we really hit it off. He has mentioned he is getting me something, though I told him it totally wasn't necessary, but he insisted so now I don't know what to get him since it hasn't been that long and I don't want to go overboard, so any suggestions would be great! We have been together 5 months, but he is such a hard person to buy for. He's not really into sweet things like cuddly toys etc, and because we are both on a budget i cant afford anything too much such as aftershave etc. He will probably get me something small like a cuddly toy or something like that, so even though i want to get him something nice, i dont want it to look like i made too much effort! He dont drink wine or anything like that, only vodka, but i wanna get him something he can keep and think of me, not something we will end up drinking together.
I dont know about maybe getting some nice underwear, or something sexy? (it might help you answer if you know that we are a gay couple?)
He is 30 if that helps?

valentines day...am a bit tired of it, and its not here yet. why does everyone make a big deal, and making rich companies richer.
i will probably get alot of booo's for this question, but really think about it. why wait, why have a holiday to give to the one you love??? think outside the box....

I had a great job for 8 years and it came to an end. My wife and kids have been very patient and understanding, but Valentines day is coming and I wont have "squat" after bills are paid.
