I'm babysitting kindergartners and making Valentines Worms: So married couples can enjoy the night --- Then I'll probably practice standing on my head while singing, "Oh, my Darling Clementine."

Since this is a day of LOVE you should so do something fun for yourself. Since I don't know you I can only say ... do what you would do if it were your Birthday --- Celebrate. Or, you can do what they do in Korea:

"In Korea, there is an additional Black Day on April 14, when males who did not receive anything for Valentine's Day gather together to eat Jajangmyun (Chinese-style noodles in black sauce). In South Korea, there is also Pepero Day, celebrated on November 11, during which young couples give each other romantic gifts." - Wiki (giggle)

Gather your single friends and make it a valentine prank day. Prank all you freinds that have significant others to deal with. Put some red dye in a pill capsule and put it in there shower head. Red gelatin in the toilet tank. Spray paint a bunch of penuts red, tape a plastic tarp over someones door (has to open in) and pour the peanuts in between the tarp and the door. WIth a little imagination and some help you could have a better time without a significant other. I hope this helps. It did when I was single and still get a chuckle to this day. :-]> If you need a list, send me a mail.

Step 1: Buy a gallon of cheap whiskey.
Step 2: Drink half the bottle.
Step 3: Drunk-dial your ex-girlfriend and tell her how happy you are that you aren't together anymore and how you hated that buying her the long-stem roses on Valentine's Day only to have her cut the damn stems off that you paid extra for so she could fit them in the vase. Don't forget to rub it in that she's now dating a douche bag while you got to have a fling with the one girl that she hated more than anyone else and never got locked into yet another meaningless relationship.
Step 4: Drink the rest of the whiskey to ensure you don't remember anything from the night before.
Step 5: Throw up (don't want alcohol poisoning)
Step 6: Scream yourself to sleep on the bathroom floor while clutching your bath mat.

... that's what I'm gonna do anyway.

Spend it with friends and treat it like an ordinary day. Be indoors in a friends house that doesn't have someone. Don't plan on going out or else you would see couples and make you more depressed.

Give thanks.

Sometimes (not always), it's better to be alone.

OR.....if you're alone and you know of someone else who is alone, whether they are a friend, relative, ugly, whatever.... make their day by being their valentine and doing something nice for them. I mean, it sounds like you wouldn't mind having someone make your day.... so turn the tables and make someone else's day.

Doing good feels good. Or so I hear.... good luck.

Buy a box of candy and eat it. In fact, wait until the next day and get it for 1/2 price.

Treat it like any other day and be happy you don't have to spend money on some fake a** holiday that was made up just so women can get presents.
