it's just so overrated and ppl r getting more crazy about it every year. I mean, if u love somone u don't really need a day to show him\her love, esp a day that everyone else does! i know u may say it's just nice to expect a day to do certain things but heck u can have more than a day if u want u. It also puts so much pressures on those lonely ones, who might feel unwanted or unloved just because they don't have a date on the 14th of Feb.!
If u love anything\one u can show it anywhere, anyhow and anytime!
it's just a media prank just to make all those cheesy songs, and Hallmark probably got something to do with makin it such a big deal too ;p

I totally agree. You can and should show your love for someone anytime, every day! A friend of mine is so obsessed with Valentines Day. She thinks it should be all 'out to dinner and better be some jewelry involved' type of day. Just knowing my husband loves me everyday is plenty for me, although he does do some nice things for me on Valentine's Day. It is overrated.

word!
i hate the holiday, no i havent been alone and miserable, but like u said, if u love someone show them everyday, not once a yr. on an aniverary, i see, but not some random day in feb,
and all the companies want is ur money, they dont care what u love or who u love, they want the cash!
so, yea, i totoally agree!

I agree! 100%. Even though my wedding anniversary falls on the same day as Valentines day... it's over rated! We just 'happened' to get married on that day. It wasn't planned. We eloped.

It's a money making business for people.

That is what I'm talking about. Along with Mardi Gras, St. Patrick's day, and Halloween.

i don't think its overrated. i love to have a special day to treat my woman by spoiling her with a gift and flowers and a massage, but some ppl don't like it. i guess its just me, i like it. good point though, you don't have to prove that you really love them by having a day of the year devoted to it, but its valentines day and im going to spoil the crap out of my girlfriend.
