I'd draw her a picture and write her a poem because it comes from the heart and I think it's a better idea than buying her something. You could read her the poem you wrote her over dinner, then give her a single red rose. That sounds really sweet. If you not up to do something that thoughtful or time consuming, I'd say the chocolate. Make sure she likes that kind of chocolate though.

Wow those are opposites lol! Which ever you think she might like better. If you have the kind of money to spend on a ring then I'd say to do both!
It might be kind of neat to give her the chocolates and like the other person said put the ring in it. I know I'd really like that! Diamonds are a girls best friend after all!!

Try to return it for the cash.... Yeah right, like the rest of you are so high and mighty. The only downside is the store may be able to trace the original purchaser if there was a barcode on the ring or receipt. Most upscale stores will issue an appraisal along with the purchase and that should at least have the name.

Wow, that's a loaded question. She's worth either a big ring or a lot of sugar? I'd go with what you think she would rather receive. A personalized letter or poem is another suggestion too...

Chocolates will only make a turd.....a diamond will put you up a whole bunch of notches in her love catagory.....diamonds are a girls best friend. just make sure its an engagement ring or she COULD sell it when she leaves you for another man....good luck
