Valentine's Day

Last Vday we went out to dinner and regreted it (crowded, bad service).

So this year, I am making my girlfriend a nice romantic dinner. I already wrote her an 'invitation' to dinner. What are some other ideas to make it really, really special (from dinner to dessert, as well as ambiance)

I hear it all the time, my bf/gf broke up with me on Valentines Day. Its so sad that this happens, why do they do it? can they not wait for a different day?

I have a guy friend and he bought me something for Valentine's Day. I don't know what to get him in return...Seeing that most Valentine's Day stuff says I love you and stuff of that sort. I don't want to get him something like that and he take it the wrong way. Any suggestions on what to get him???

Last year we didn't do much for v day because we had just moved up to Atlanta and we were strapped for cash. This year we're doing a bit better but not swimming in $$. To try to make up for last year, this is what I've gotten her so far:
- I wrote her a poem (This is the 1st poem Ive ever written for someone)
- Stuffed talking puppies
- A coupon book that says good for 1 massage, bath, candle lit dinner, etc...

I feel really bad because of last year, I want to make this one special since its our 1st as husband and wife.

Any advice from the ladies would help. Any ideas of anything else I can do to make it extra special?

We talked a little before but that was about it. we aren't friends, but I think she might be expecting somethink on valentine's day. we both like each other. I need some ideas: I want to get flowers, but they might die quickly, so I need a gift that can last at least 2 days.

We have been together for 5 years -- so at this point we would rather do something together than get gifts -- but at 9pm the day is almost over - then we have school in the morning so we can't party all night or anything -- does anyone have some romantic ideas of how we can celebrate V-day?

Living in South Kent. Driving is an option, have good computer skills but little artistic talent. I can cook, but not very well. We have a meeting in the evening, so has to be a daytime thing. Wish I had more cash, but five pounds really is an upper limit. HELP!

I'm 20 years old, money is not a problem, whats the best thing to get for a guy for Valentines day? Its long distance so dinners etc is out of the question.
