According to me its a bane ,if u ask me why ? I will say that i don't have a girl friend . In fact Valentine day is a boon or bane completely depends on individual understanding .Some may think it as vulgar , westernisation of Indian culture on the other hand some say it is good as we people are becoming modernised .I think it is purely because of globalisation that we are getting to know about these but it is not coming under the periphery of our tradition and our moral ethics.
As a whole I can say that neither it is a bane nor a boon its just between the two, purely depend upon the personal thoughts . Because in western society people r very folksy they r very much informal in the manner in which they dress themselves , but in India u will not find it rather the no of crimes these days is much more in India tothatestern society which i think should me minimised , whether we r celebrating this valentines day or not is immaterial here

you're honestly no longer the in trouble-free terms individual who dreads Valentines' day! i'm unmarried now, and that i basically understand that i will nonetheless hate Feb 14th at the same time as i'm with someone! Being unmarried would properly be terrible, and the most suitable aspect a singleton needs is to have it rammed down his/her throat! declaring that, attempt to get over this female...that is for the most ideal.

Anupam has ponted out the neagtive effects of thid day.But everything depends on the individuals. They must try to xpress their affections in a manner commensurate with our culture and also ensure that they do not bring bad name to their families. The value of our traditin must be taught to the children and just cursing thid day will do no good.We can teach the youth to spend this day not only with lovers but to xpress their gratitude to all who have helped them in their lives.

Definitely a CURSE on Indian tradition. It not only encourages STEALTHINESS and also nurses a desire for unholy union of young mind and encourages rebelion attitude against their own kith and kin.
