What I intensely dislike about V-Day (and a lot of the other holidays) is the ridiculous commercialization! People are made to feel like losers or fools if they don't drop a ton of money on their love in life, and if you don't have a significant other you might as well hang it up! All the while, the big companies are laughing all the way to the bank!
My hubby and I refuse to buy V-Day cards! We've been married almost 22 years and believe that we don't have to have one day out of 365 to express our love. We try to do that every day of our lives together!
And isn't it amazing that a dozen roses goes up about $50.00 on V-Day! Talk about a major rip-off, not to mention a great deal of emotional pain that many experience on this day! It's nice to know I'm not the only person on the planet who dreads the arrival of the great rip-off! Great question and have a great day! Annie
