Okay here at my college they have set up numerous Christmas trees, but don't put stars on the tops because its supporting the Christian religion. I'm Christian and know that Christmas is a Christian holiday so I think we should be able to put a star on top of the tree, and if people of other religions have a problem they should not be celebrating Christmas altogether. Anyone agree?

We will be taking the quarters to a casino, so they can't be glued down. It's for my father in law who is a HUGE Univ. of Kansas fan.
Clever, crafty, easy ideas??

I have to clock out for it. And the door prizes suck. Last year it did too b/c I won 10 lb frozen ground meat log. I gave it to some one who needed it and I'm not sure that they even used all of it.

I do not understand this issue at all. It seems that a bunch of Christmas trees were taken down due to someone wanting to display a menorah. The trees had no specific decorations on them that had any religious relation.

In regards to that a menorah has a religious meaning. I can understand if there were crosses placed around the airport why someone might be offended, but that is not the case.

I would like to hear some opinions on this subject please.

"There will be no more Christmas trees at Sea-Tac Airport this season after the Port of Seattle received a complaint about them.

For more than 25 years, the airport has celebrated the holidays with Christmas trees over its entrances. But now the trees that decorated the entrances to Sea-Tac can only be found down back hallways out of the public's view, after the Port of Seattle ordered all 15 trees removed.

Santa is all knowing, all seeing, yet you tell the kids that the Santa they see is only a helper, right?, so they haven't seen the real Santa. As a Christian, I believe God is all knowing, all seeing, and I believe in Him though I haven't seen Him, so are you putting Santa on the same level as God? Why not tell your kids that there once was a man named St. Nick that gave gifts to the poor secretely and people started doing the same.

I am the new person in the office, where there a total of five of us. I have been here since July - which is long enough to participate in the girt giving of Christmas (they all celebrate it, so there is no alternative holiday issues for them). Being the new person, entry level, and a newlywed I have a rather tight budjet. I thought I would find a nice christmas mug or basket, fill it with candy and a stuffed santa for the ladies and a wooden brain puzzle for the engineers. Two of the people can have regular candy, one is a diabetic so they will get sugar free candy. My problem comes with the lady that just had gastric bypass surgery - what munchie treat can I put in hers? She is kind of a pain in the but, and arrogant (I get nice clothes second hand - she sneers at the idea etc). But I still want to do something nice for everyone - any help would be appreciated! Thank you

He favored construction of a nuclear bomb before WW II even started to ensure that the Nazis didn't do it first. I mean, we celebrate Columbus Day, even though he was essentially just taking a vacation, in fact a paid vacation. Lets bomb (pun intended) Congress with e-mails demanding consideration for this oversight.
