I think a gift certificate to their favorite restaurant would be nice or maybe you could find a nice picture of them before they got married, like when they were dating and get it blown up and put into a nice frame or something. Just make sure that it is from the heart, don't just throw something together just to say that you got them something.

for the dad u can always get a cashmere muffler and glove set or maybe in leather
for the mom u can always get a plant or chocolates or even homemade cookies - this will earn u some brownie points since u made it u r self !! cookies are very easy to make just go online and get a simple 20 minute recipe.

If you are going to their house...give them nice hand made sweater or pull over and also a gift certificate of good restaurant. they will remember u when ever they will wear and also enjoy the food. Good luck
