Does anyone know.....if when shopping at a black Friday sale, will stores put things on layaway? Like, If I goto Wal-Mart and want to get some things, even if they are on sale for Black Friday, will they allow me to put them on layaway? Just wondering......I've never actually attended a Black Friday, and I am not sure I will get to this year, but just in case.....?

What about on New years?

Our local Unitarian Universalist fellowship is considering puting a notice in the newspaper to recognize all the various religious and secular holidays/celebrations in December. It's partly to remind people that Christmas isn't the only holiday in December.

I know of Bodhi Day, Christmas (Feast of the Nativity), Chanukah (Festival of Lights), HumanLight, Kwanzaa, Yule (Winter Solstice), and Eid al-Adha (Festival of Sacrifice). Did I miss any others?

Do you think there is any need to include the Feast Day for Saint Andrew, Advent Sunday, St. Nicholas Day, Saint Stephen's Day, and Childermas (Feast of the Holy Innocents)? Corrections? Suggestions?

Yahoo Answers doesn't have any of the Wiccan, Druid or Pagan holidays listed on the Holidays list. Can't we at least get the Winter Solstice on the list? That's a huge day for us. How about Beltain or Yule?

I would think celebrating a holiday is a personal choice, and who does it hurt anyways? I'll tell you one thing it is much cheaper, and when you do celebrate or give another a gift for no reason at all it is really appreciated not expected.
