im making one of my best friends
1. a giant posterboard neon card with pictures of us from different times with writing and stuff
2. a burned CD of songs we love or have jokes about
3. a basket of some of her favorite candy and a teddy bear
4. a little wooden carving of her name in her favorite color with glitter and polka dots
5. and (maybe) one big yankee candle (she loves it like crazy)

How come there are no pagan holidays listed here? That's a little biased. And I know many will argue that some of the holidays listed were once pagan holidays just renamed to appease everyone when the catholics converted the old ones, but come on. I want my real names, like Beltaine, for instance.

My reasons are: It is driven by commercialism, Christmas is nowhere mentioned in the Bible, Jesus wasn't born on or near Dec. 25th, Christmas is largely a recycled pagan celebration, God condemns using pagan customs to worship Him, Christmas is worshipping God in vain, and, you can't put Christ back into something He was never in! When I celebrate Christmas, I don't include God. I'm told Christians shouldn't celebrate Christ & Christmas together. The above is my own opinion and I'm not trying to influence anyone! I'm curious as to what your opinion is on this matter.

I am a freshman in college, so I just got a brand new macbook and furnishings etc, for my dorm room. When my parents asked me what I wanted for christmas I was at a loss for idea? I got an ipod last year, and I was considering that I might want a digital camera, but there are so many different ones that I am not sure which one to ask for.
