My oldest child is 10. I don't think he believes in Santa anymore, and that is ok. My other children are both 7 and they still believe.

My kids have always been brought up to know the true meaning of Christmas. They also do get some gifts labeled mommy and daddy, and some labeled Santa. Its fun.

Most of the time it's not necessary to tell your children there is no santa.......it only takes one parent to tell their child and the next thing you know your child will come home and let you know that they know he doesn't exist....kids usually spread the news. And it's usually in school they find out. Also, if yu tell them too soon it might not be good......I don't think there is any harm in letting them find out on their own. They won't resent it......they'll just realize that they are growing up is all.

I figured it out when i was 5 lol but i remember in 2nd grade being at the lunch table and a girl thought Santa was still real and well yeah she got really upset when we all told her that he wasnt. If a child doesnt figure it out on their own, they will definitely find out at school

Like I did. He caught me putting a dollar under his pillow and he said I knew it The little a hole put a paper bag under his pillow and heard me and he was mad then he started to ask me. The easter Bunny, ME then he ask me Santa, ME . Don't tell him once they start to feel it it will happen. Tell him what the real reason is. Make it still fun it is a great time for family

They usually start to find out on their own between the ages of seven and ten, although if they still believe after then you should probably gently tell them so they don't experience future embarrassment in their teens. He'l probably ask you about it and when he does, just tell him the truth.

Most kids figure it out. They are very smart. I came right up to mom and asked her when I was about 7 or 8
