I am a freshman in college, so I just got a brand new macbook and furnishings etc, for my dorm room. When my parents asked me what I wanted for christmas I was at a loss for idea? I got an ipod last year, and I was considering that I might want a digital camera, but there are so many different ones that I am not sure which one to ask for. Any suggestions on the camera? or any other gift possibilities?

Maybe instead of focusing on material garbage, you should ask your family to volunteer someplace with you. Help some people and make a memory. When you're on your death bed, I'll bet your digital camera will be the last thing on your mind. However, you might remember the people you helped at Christmas 2006.

If you REALLY can't decide what you want, but you have a pretty good idea of the store you'd like to get it from- then why don't you ask your parents for a Gift Card from that store? Then you can buy whatever you eventually decide you want. :)

A digital cameral is a good idea. Just let them pick it out....let them know if there are any features you must have.

Do you celebrate Chanukah and Christmas? You have two identical questions with the only difference being the holiday. If this is legit and not some social experiment, I would suggest that if you don't know what you want then maybe you already have everything you need.
