My reasons are: It is driven by commercialism, Christmas is nowhere mentioned in the Bible, Jesus wasn't born on or near Dec. 25th, Christmas is largely a recycled pagan celebration, God condemns using pagan customs to worship Him, Christmas is worshipping God in vain, and, you can't put Christ back into something He was never in! When I celebrate Christmas, I don't include God. I'm told Christians shouldn't celebrate Christ & Christmas together. The above is my own opinion and I'm not trying to influence anyone! I'm curious as to what your opinion is on this matter.

Christianity, like all religions, intentionally used existing (pagan) customs, rituals, concepts, beliefs, and holidays to present the teachings of Christianity in a familiar context to people. They took the familiar elements and gave them new meanings with Christian teachings because this is the most loving way to spread a message (you work with things that people are comfortable with). So ... it's not a 'pagan' holiday given its context in christianity. Christmas, like anything else, can be a celebration of God and Jesus or it can be used to distance ourselves from that. When we use it as a day to love others and celebrate community and as a welcoming of Jesus into the world, we celebrate God. When we act like the Pharisees and get into the letter of the law, we miss the point of Love which is the real meaning of Christmas.

As far I know..Christmas is about having fun and being with your loved ones..is Id mentioned in the Quaran?? Each and every religion has its own celibrations and each of them are driven by commercialism..yeah jeasus was not born on dec 2..true..So Can you tell us when he was born..And do show the proof as well..not some writing..I need solid proof..So..intruth christmas is not about worshipping anythin...it is more about celebrating the life of someone in whom christians belive..It is a time to be in the company of your loved ones..Nothing more than that..

I agree 100%
The only celebration he told us to continue was the memorial celebration of His Death
The Bible says the day of ones death is greater than the day of ones birth.
