I'm definately looking forward to the holidays. My two most favorite holidays of the year are Thanksgiving and Christmas. I love eating on Thanksgiving and I love the whole traditional atmosphere of it all. And i especially love Christmas because I love getting things for other pple i find it lots of fun. I personally think some pple get stressed out and paranoid during the holidays because they get too caught up in the artificial stuff. Who cares if they ran out of a specific toy and who cares if you don't have enough money to give everyone what they want, it sounds 'corny' (not to me, though) but there is more to the holidays than recieving. I personally just enjoy the whole atmosphere (carols, the lights, the beauty of the snow!!!) Okay, I should probably stop writing now....I get too worked up.hehe =)

I've systematically pruned the dysfunctional elements from my holiday repetoire. Fortunately most of my family are kind, sweet, reasonable people. The ones who ain't... I decided aren't worthy of my time and attention. I'm bad, and I don't care. I LOVE the holidays!
My only real stress is self-created: I like to make Christmas day dinner. Also trying to wrap everything prettily and keeping small children's hands from breaking the ornaments is stressful - but that goes with the territory. S'okay.

I live in an Assisted Living facility, so visitors are very rare. However, my family is picking me up for turkey day and we are going to my sister's home. It's going to be tons of family fun for me as I haven't seen some of my family members in nearly a year. I'm really looking forward to it!

My sister and I are spending Christmas together alone at our apt.
Since I've been sick since last year, I am not able to travel to see my family but I am thankful to be able to see another holiday.

I love the holidays, really, every year I look forward and bake, cook, decorate---then it's time to play ------Family Feud!!! It's not the kids, in-laws, parents---it the doggone Sibling!!!!!! Nutball, Drama Queen sibling.

well to tell you the truth.. it will be a major effort for me.. but im still not giving up..my reasons for this being a rough christmas are the following..I met my husband through my daughter who was dating his son.. they got married. so did we they had 3 kids
after 12 years of marriage they got divroced.. they each have new spouses.. and step kids to boot.. also last xmas eve 05 my sister was murdered by her husband who shot her in the head
with a 12 gauge shot gun then shot him self.. but shes in heaven
I know.. a birthday present for Jesus.. at least I think so

i actual dread any holiday my wife and i have no living family near enough to visit that we care enough for to visit and have no transportation it gives me the 'blues' every holiday
