Fourth of July, Labor Day, Memorial Day are often celebrated by eating out of doors. Why is this? Why not eat out of doors anytime you want? Why not celebrate the holiday by eating somewhere else other than the dining room...like in your car, or in the bathroom? Why not do something else, other than eating, in an unusual place to celebrate? We could shower in the garage, or sleep on the lawn to celebrate.

For example, we just celebrated Labor Day a day taken out to thank all of Americas hard workers and I HAD TO WORK! The Fourth of July is to celebrate our nations independence from England and today most people could care less and would rather get drunk and party. Memorial Day commemorates our veterans but with the exception of a few it's just another reason to party. St. Patricks day was intened to be a day when we can thank God for the blessed example that St. Patrick himself gave as a model for Christains everywhere. It's now an all out beer-festival! Need I mention Christmas and Easter?

What has America turned into when every national holiday we celebrate means nothing to them except another day to indulge themselves and never truly taking the time out to remember what it is we are really celebrating.

I've got most of it planned--a dance and swim party on a friday night with about 25-30 guys and girls who are around the age of 13.
What I need is some suggestions to make the party one to remember! I'm already going to have a spectacular cake, a board that peoplecan sign. I will also have a spot to take pictures. I'm not sure what else to do. It won't be structured activity, but we will fill up water balloons, beach balls, ect. before the party so that people can use them as wanted. The invites are on chocolate bar wrappers, and kids will be able to take home a decorated "chinese take-out"-style box filled with candy.I want more ideas to make this the most memorable party ever. Please don't suggest a theme, as that is not what I ask for. Thanks.

That is kind of silly. . . I mean. . Halloween should have it's own category. Its a popular holiday! So why is it grouped in here?

We have been together for about a year and a half. He likes salt water fish and just got his liscense to scuba dive. We are freshman in college but he doesn't have a problem with low cash so the whole gift certificates to resturantes probably won't be a good idea. On the other hand I am VERY low on cash right now so I do have a spending limit. (lets try to keep it under $100) He is very lay back but outgoing too. Please help me out!!
