Fourth of July, Labor Day, Memorial Day are often celebrated by eating out of doors. Why is this? Why not eat out of doors anytime you want? Why not celebrate the holiday by eating somewhere else other than the dining room...like in your car, or in the bathroom? Why not do something else, other than eating, in an unusual place to celebrate? We could shower in the garage, or sleep on the lawn to celebrate.

People basically stay indoors during the winter months, so when
the cold has passed, Picnic's bring Family and Friends together.
You can have a picnic at anytime of the year, but it's the warm
weather, sunshine, conversations, laughter, interaction of folks,
and fun, that makes the summer picnic, what is it.

A lot of times its a matter of having the extra day off to do these activities......most people work 5 or more days a week, on their weekend they do stuff around the house, catch up on laundry, yada yada.......with a 3 day holiday weekend it gives them an extra day to just relax and enjoy themselves.

it's simply because it's the only somewhat perfect time to sit back, relax or unwind and take time to talk with family and friends from the long days of busyness and hectic schedule that that they have.
