I think at the age of 12 kids are normally too tall and they know themselves that they are too big to go trick or treating.

I'd say about when the child starts wearing the same size as the parent. If you can borrow your kid's Spiderman costume, he's too big for trick or treating!

I think when you get into jr. high you should stop. I resent giving older kids and sometimes I have even had adults trick or treat. Halloween is for little kids. things are getting expensive enough without having to give out candy to adults and teens. Give me a huge break!

Hey -- I know plenty of adults who trick and treat with their children -- or attend the fall festival which is around the time Halloween occurs. Costumes for EVERYONE!

Just let yourself choose, if your friends want to go out trick or treating then go out and get candy. if you'd rather go out and get in trouble then by all means do it. I stopped wanting to go trick-or-treating when I was 15 and by then my friends and I weren't into going house to house anymore anyway.

You start to annoy homeowners when you become a teenager. By 18-probably too old. Which is too bad b/c I think everybody should have the right to go.
