Christmas - December 2006

This isn't a question just my opportunity to wish everyone reading this a very Merry Christmas. Take a moment to pass a thought for those in less fortunate circumstances than our own. Don't be embarrassed to wish a complete stranger a "Merry Christmas" that small gesture could mean alot to someone.

I work in the retail sector. All year long, I greet people with a smile, ask if I can help them etc and often I am ignored, replied to in a rude manner or treated like crap. Suddenly, Christmas rolls around and everyone is running around (including the miserable SOB's that I have just referred to) and wish everyone a 'Merry Christmas'. Why are people such hypocrites? Christmas comes around and all of a sudden everyone is your best friend? Personally it really ticks me off....you should be that way all year around or not at all.

Today is Christmas Eve. I dont have a gift for my mom yet. I dont have any money (but I could borrow some from my 9 year old brother). My Dad doesnt want to take us to get her a gift and she said she'll be sad if I or my two brothers dont get her anything. Im not sure what to do. I'm writing her a letter...but what should I do? When I was little, if Santa brought you a radio, he had to sneak it in on a sack barrow, and the battery was the size of a small car. Now it's a iPod you can hardly see.

12" Albums looked impressive, but how do you wrap a mini-disc so it doesn't look like an after dinner mint?
