and knobheads around my way are letting fireworks off.How are kids supposed to stay asleep

The fireworks did the trick,they woke both kids up,so theyve just shouted downstairs can we open our presents

Well, it's about time someone complained about fireworks!! =P
Most kids probably won't get to sleep till late anyway - I know I won't cos I'm a big kid at heart - as they'll be waiting for Father Christmas to come.
However, I do agree - it's a big problem in my area, too, but usually when it's quite close to 5th November.
It'll be terrible at New Year's, though - or it may not be so bad.

Just grateful I dont live around your way, that would wind me up a lot, fireworks seem to represent celebrations these days, but that is a bit much. Christmas is a Christian Celebration though, and each to their own. Tolerance is the christians way.

Some people are unbelievably selfish and thoughtless, are they not!
There SHOULD be a law against private fireworks, unless they are given permission, like having a street party or something which would effect other residents! I think it will come in time, but not fast enough for you sadly, its gonna be a LOOONG day for you guys, my heart goes out to you, good luck!!!!

i know in my neck of the woods they seem to let off fire works for no holiday at all and on the holidays it is just ridiculous
get them some ear plugs is all i can suggest
actually, i don't know where u r but around here the police would sure like to know about fireworks especially at that time of the night. i sure would call them if it was me

Tell me about it! They have no respect what so ever! I'm thinking maybe fireworks should only be for display purposes. As so many ppl get hurt. So many children get hold of them how I don't know but it's dangerous an it worries me.

Yep, them F*cking idiots are always doing that at my place.
Right when I get my six kids to bed some a*ss holes lett of a bottle rocket or an entire string of fire crackers!
God, are they too drunk to know that It's Christmas eve? Tons of kids are trying to get too sleep so Santa clause will come, how are they going to sleep with all them jerks out there?
Last year my husband called the police and they came and said "You freaks, don't you know santa is coming in about 2.5 hours and the little kiddies are trying to sleep?"
Yes, It is stupid of them F*cking a*ss holes!!

I am sorry for you. I have just had to put up with a load of old people go to church near me, shouting and banging their car doors and then the singing at midnight.
