Some of today's Christians go about telling their innocent children that Santa Clause brought them their gifts! Isn't that a lie? Call it a WHITE lie, but it's still a lie, and if I'm not mistaken, the original Christianity prohibits lying (Jesus-peace be upon him- taught his followers NOT to lie). Then there's the Bible itself. I believe in the ORIGINAL Bible (Gospel) that God sent, as I'm told to believe in 4 books that God sent to mankind in order to be guided. But in today's Christian world, there are SO MANY different versions of the Bible and ALL have been revised BY MEN! NONE of them contain God's exact words. Then there's the concept of Trinity which is NOT mentioned in ANY of the Bibles. Why do Christians still follow it? What's the proo that Jesus is God or God's son? Shouldn't beliefs be LOGICAL for the human mind to grasp? But can ANYONE honestly say they understand the concept of Trinity? Don't answer with, "I feel it in my heart." No. Beliefs should be LOGICALLY proven.

This isn't a question just my opportunity to wish everyone reading this a very Merry Christmas. Take a moment to pass a thought for those in less fortunate circumstances than our own. Don't be embarrassed to wish a complete stranger a "Merry Christmas" that small gesture could mean alot to someone.
Thanks for reading this and once again, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

i always thought that nativity scenes didn't include the baby jesus figure until christmas day because he hadn't been born yet. i seem to remember this from childhood, yet the little guy's been in every manger setting i've seen this month. anyone else ever do it this way?

I am not feeling very happy about the holidays.

I am jewish, but my family does nothing special for the holidays. We don't decorate, and because we aren't religious, we don't do a proper Chaunaukkah.

What I mean by that is, we don't have a manourah, we don't light 1 candle for 8 nights. We don't get 1 present every night. My family doesn't even gather together every night just for the sake of being together. We have had 1 semi-big dinner, and that is it.

I havn't done any real holiday shopping, I havn't felt that frustrating, yet enjoyable holiday craze, nothing.

As presents for Chaunaukkah I have gotten my room painted, and money from my grandparents. I am very grateful that I got my room painted, and I know it is a privledge, and I should be thankful I have a full stomach and a roof over my head, but this time of year just feels like any ordinary day.

Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do to get more into the spirit?
